Hey guys!

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been three weeks since the last update. 😛 In those three weeks I…

  • Ate lots of meat in a can and tube (one of our places only had a fridge).
  • Wacked out my sleep schedule by staying up all night and sleeping during the day.
  • Got to spend more time in Prizren after two weeks in Restelice
  • Interceded in Prizren during the day as another World Race team had Gospel conversations with connections they’d been building in Prizren.
  • Traveled to Pristine, Kosovo for a few days.
  • Had sushi in Pristine (It was SOO good).
  • Had time to process my time in Kosovo and get ready for the next country.

It’s been a really full, adventurous month, and the longer I am in Kosovo, the more I love it.

Prayer Attack in the Night

Well, our time interceding through the night was epic! On the first night, God covered the entire village with this thick fog. It almost blotted out the mosque and its lights, and I just knew it was His way of letting us know He was ready to start working in that village. There were also a few nights with lots of shooting stars, and another night where there was a fire on a nearby hill. The crazy thing with the fire was that there was no evidence of it the next day. His constant notes were the best! (You can see pictures on Facebook!)

After we left Restelice, someone on my team got to talk to a Christian Kosovo Pastor and he told her that the people who live in Restelice are considered an unreached people group (the Gorani people) and that they’ve likely never met Christians before. Isn’t that wild?! Hearing that made us feel so much more honored that God would invite us there and that we got to just soak that region in prayer. I’m excited for whoever goes there next and what kind of fruit might be ready for harvest, or at least that the ground will be a little more ready for new seeds of faith. We’re believing the two village mosques will one day be churches instead.

What Happened With the Friends We Made?

Great question! We got to hang out with the women we met in Restelice a few more times, and it was all so much fun. At one point, my team members got invited to hang out with them right after we started our prayer nights. I wasn’t feeling too great for this visit, so I decided to stay home and intercede for them. I specifically prayed that Jesus would organically pop up in conversation. At some point during that visit, Christmas got brought up! My team members learned that they love celebrating Christmas, and they got to share how Americans celebrate Christmas and talk about how Jesus is at the center of our celebration. My team members also mentioned pageants, and one of the women was super curious what those are like, so we sent her some links to nativity scenes and live Christmas pageants. It’s going to be so cool to see how Jesus pursues her.

My New Home Will Be…

So what’s next? Well, we’re off to Odessa, Ukraine tonight! In Odessa, we’ll be working with an orphanage and helping them with some construction projects. I’m excited for a new kind of work, and it will be nice having a host too. Apparently, they will feed us lots of Ukrainian food, which I’m especially stoked for. We haven’t had a host make us local food yet, so this will be AWESOME! Plus, it’s not going to be meat in a can or a tube, so I’m pumped. Lol. Food is really exciting after what I have been eating.

Love you all and am praying for you all the time. I hope you have a restful Thanksgiving, and I can’t wait to tell you how Ukraine went.

  1. You have such a generous spirit to intercede for so many people and I believe there will be fruit for it- and fruit, or should I say meat, for you too!
