Training camp is just a little over 2 weeks away. What?! Where has the time gone?! Since the last time I wrote, God has been amazing. He’s been doing so much work in getting my heart ready, raising my funds for me, and helping me get amazing deals on used gear. I am in awe of all the little miracles I’ve already gotten to experience, and my expectancy for the year ahead has only climbed higher.

To be honest, since I’ve realized training camp is a few weeks away, I’ve been a little stressed out. A door opened to leave Boulder (where I live right now) a week earlier to visit my brothers who live around the U.S. I’m excited to see my brothers, but losing that extra week in Boulder has caused me to realize how much I have left to do and how little time left there really is.

Well, this week I experienced three little miracles that God used to let me know He is with me and that He will help me get everything done.

The first miracle…
… involved some medicine I needed to get for my first aid kit. When I ordered the medicine on Amazon, the expected delivery date was July 30th—the day I’m leaving Boulder. I decided to go for it and believed God would give me favor and get it to me before then. Well, it arrived a couple days after I ordered it. Lol. Talk about favor!

The second miracle…
…had to do with my car. Initially, I was thinking of selling my car after training camp. Then, I found out that there’s some extra paperwork involved, and it would be smarter to sell my car sooner rather than later to give myself extra time for the paperwork. So this week, I went ahead and jumped on getting my car ready. One of the things I needed to do was get a new side mirror cap. During my car’s service, I went ahead and ordered the mirror part, and they told me it would take a week because they needed to send it out to get painted. I was okay with a week, but I prayed and asked God to give me favor with this too. Well, it ended up being ready in a couple days! Thanks to God’s favor with this, I should be able to list my car a few days earlier than expected.

The third miracle…
…was finding a forgotten letter from my Mom. You see, I’m getting rid of pretty much everything except for a suitcase full of winter clothes. Last night I did a lot of sorting, including looking through a box of birthday cards and letters. I’ve kept every card I’ve ever gotten for the last 20 years, so there was a lot.

At first, I was honestly just going to dump it all, but Holy Spirit whispered in my heart to just look through it one more time. I’m so glad I listened because that’s when I found a letter from my Mom. For me, it’s a miracle in a couple ways. First this week is the two year anniversary of my Mom’s death, so I am in awe that I found the letter this week. As the flurry of activity to get ready for the World Race has picked up, I’ve been really missing my Mom and wishing she was here to do it with me—especially this week. So it was really sweet of Jesus to help me find that letter right now. The other miracle is that the letter was written during an earlier time in my life when I was getting ready for another adventure. So everything in that letter felt like my Mom was speaking to me today.  I know right!? Only God can take a letter written 13 years ago, help me find it, and have it be exactly what I needed right now.

It’s been a big week…

There’s been a lot of feels, but today I’m basking in how well He’s taking care of me. I feel “His hand of love upon my life and the blessing He imparts to me. It’s just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible. His understanding of me brings me so much wonder and the strength” to run the race that’s ahead of me. (Psalm 139:5c-6 TPT + my paraphrase).

The amazing thing is, God is just getting started, and I’m excited to see what else He has in store for me. I can’t wait to share what He does right here, so stay tuned for what else is up His sleeve!

In the meantime, please pray that God gives me favor when I sell my car, and feel free to share this story with anyone you think might get encouraged from it.

Until next time!
